We all have smartphones in our houses, and most of them may have android phones; however, it seems that smartphones are to be replaced by glasses. Yes, you heard it suitable, following ten years, there will be no more smartphones and no more glass slab phones. Even though you may seem shocked that smartphones are an integral part of our lives, they are getting replaced by A.R. glasses. That is true, as we know that both Apple and Samsung are working on V.R. headsets, even companies like Facebook A.K.A Meta is heavily investing money in V.R. things. So the point is that we already see many accessories like Bluetooth-enabled glasses from Titan company. However, it is not to the mark where we can replace the smartphone. However, with the promising technology, Apple, Samsung, Meta, and other social media companies and Google are investing money in these headsets to replace our smartphones shortly, which is a bane for society, even though many of us will not accept the fact of our smartphones to be replaced by these glasses. Even though we see what has happened to the TV industries these days, today, most of us do not even watch TV cause our smartphones, laptops, and PCs have replaced most of the parts needed a middle man like Cable operators. Now we no longer need cable connections to watch things and get information, and YouTube and other OTT platforms have become the next TV on our smartphones; many of us started to read news on the application. An application on our phones radically replaces our stores. So the next reality of the tech world will be A.R. headsets where everything could be on your eyes.
But, but … but, this raises some questions regarding this tech even though it looks promising… First, I have concerns over this; no, I am not talking about the eye's eyesight being damaged. That is not the case; the case is biometric unlocking as we rely on the ultrasonic fingerprint and Face ID tech these days. Where will those options go? The second concern is the security and privacy of these devices. Anyone can have to peek through our devices even if the design of the A.R. Glasses is being covered up. Anyone can see through it. Thirdly the constant buzzing of the notification on our glasses will be the enemy of our focus even though we still do not focus on things, fourthly the question of mental health while using these devices, and lastly, what kind of battery tech it will use as we know that we still use lithium-ion battery and graphene-based or solid-state batteries are still away from our devices. Though the future of this tech is promising, it will always question that if this tech fails, then what will happen? Will the smartphone will go extinct in the next ten years? Even though it is an inevitable future, the questions will remain in the air. Though smartphones have replaced Television, no one has thought it would come.
