How I Escaped the Android

Introduction

When I started to use the smartphone back in 2015, it started with android devices from Samsung years passed, and it was like the android devices till the year 2022. This date got an ambition that android has some future and have some potential on it, but it seems that the bubble has been burst there are fundamental reasons why let the android phones as it is becoming worse and worse, even though the android manufactures like Samsung had an excellent reputation. However, these days, android companies are ruthless in promoting unwanted and hype things. So here is my story of leaving android devices for good.

To give you a bit of context about leaving android for iOS, The key reason I left android is the fact that the screen curves, which questions the durability of the device, quite often I do not get the excellent screen protectors up front to the have the best fitting with the cases and covers on the phone, even more, I have seen that whenever I put the case open it the screen protector lifts away, and the situation is even dumber when screen curves go beyond 90 degrees, it does not matter the screen curves looks good but it seems that screens are fragile. Also, there is an annoying reflection on the screen when looking at the content.

My second reason for leaving the android is the lack of proper update cycles; even more, there are many bugs, and finally, the gimmicks displayed on the screens.

This also binds up one more reason for the hidden tracking on the devices. If I had not used the duck duck’ go’s app tracking feature, I would not have known anything about the tracking on the android.

Okay, enough of giving a reason, here is the story: as I was about to take the exam on 4 April 2022, I was having trouble with my phone. I was not able to use an app, as it was giving the trouble on my; after specific calls, the phone got heated, and the back panel of the phone got removed, which resulted in the death of my Samsung s9, then in the emergency, I took my friend's iPhone and inserted my sim on it just the emergency after the exams got over at 9 April 2022, I started to enjoy the iPhone even more with my Mac after 4 of April I bought the new iPhone 13 pro iPhone and now enjoy using it. Even though I am a long term Samsung user, at first, there was trouble in customizing the phone as I was the person who liked to customize the phone, and android did give me that freedom, but later on, using the iPhone dint even miss any of the customizable features which were offered via a good lock on the Samsung phones.

So here is what I found.

I found out how stable and smooth the iOS is; secondly. Battery life is tremendous, and slowly, after an update of iOS 15.5, I got some extra customizable features from android; it even matches the good lock customization, which is integrated directly into the UI, even though notification management is still bad, but with the notification summary it solves the purpose of anti-clutter of the notification by allowing me to group notification.

Lastly, the built-in authenticator app without external apps… even further an excellent flat screen panel.
